mp1600 error 6013-02 help

what does  the sub ("02) mean? This just started today. printed fine yesterday. at startup today got this error 6013-02 no paper in the cutter section.

Is there a way to tell if a sensor is bad . Or is the cutter motor bad?

you can check printer sensor outputs by putting a piece of paper in the sensor.....they are on the rear of the cutter

Condition

The error sub-number corresponds to the respective

condition.

Error sub-number 01

1. Although a specified time has passed after the cut

operation started, the cut home sensor (A: SE13, B:

SE15) stays DARK.

Error sub-number 02

1. The cut end sensor (A: SE14, B: SE16) does not turn

DARK within a specified time after the cut operation has

started and the cut home sensor (A: SE13, B: SE15) has

changed from DARK to LIGHT.

Error sub-number 03

1. Although a specified time has passed after the cut

operation started and the cut home sensor (A: SE13, B:

SE15) changed from DARK to LIGHT, the cut end sensor

(A: SE14, B: SE16) stays DARK.

Error sub-number 04

1. The cut home sensor (A: SE13, B: SE15) does not turn

DARK within a specified time after the cut operation has

started and the cut end sensor (A: SE14, B: SE16) has

turned the sequence LIGHT → DARK → LIGHT.

Diagnosis

When the cutter does not operate

(1) Check that the cutter edge is not damaged.

(2) Failure in the cut motor (A: M1, B: M2)

When there is a detection failure in the cut sensor

(1) Check that there is no foreign matter, such as dust, on the

light axis of the cut sensor.

(2) Check that the cut sensor is not soiled.

(3) Check that the cut sensor is correctly attached.

(4) Failure in the cut sensor (A Home: SE13, A End: SE14, B

Home: SE15, B End: SE16)
