Devon Dumpling
is Kodak the only kiosk to offer the half cut option (two 6x4 prints from 6x8 paper) on its printer as this has alot of appeal rather than having to run seperate printers for different sizes? Have tried looking on different kiosk sites fuji dnp etc. but can not find it mentioned any pointers much appreciated
Mark Amies
I had thought it was a fairly common concept across the board.
Devon Dumpling
Thanks Mark i will have to look in to this further as when i have asked before at trade shows the answer i got was that the printer could do it with a pc but the kiosk software hadn't been set up to do it it would also be nice to find one that didn't put its own software onto the cd each time

Devon Dumpling
That is where we went earlier in the year will try again next year if not sorted before
Mark Amies
In terms of kiosks try and look beyond the obvious photo names like Kodak and FujiFilm.
ttvtech
Just purchased three new Lucidiom APM3700's. Love them! Expensive yes! But your able to customize just about any product. Replaced two of our AGFA image boxes with Lucidiom but still have an AGFA Image box for the customers that want the easiest kiosk in the world. Other two AGFA boxes sitting collecting dust in the back room. Might make room in the lab for them as well or maybe just get rid of them. ttvtech

Devon Dumpling
Thankyou abc that gives me another option with readily available consumables do you know if it will do 13x18 (5x7) with a border ?
Mark Amies
abc - are you referring to the Mitsubishi CP3800 printer?
Mark Amies
Unless you are using a 5x7 specific media pack , you will always going to get borders.
Devon Dumpling
I understand that on a 6x8 or 6x9 media i will get borders with a 5x7 but it is just making sure the kiosk gives that option
abc2
Mark: No, not reffering to the CP3800DW. CP-9550DW-S, CP-9800DW-S and CP-9820DW-S will make this formats without any problems in the Mitsubishi Kiosk. Devon: 13x18 might be possible to print with a border in the multiprints option in the Kiosk if you make this layout. I haven't tried that. Otherwise you need the 13x18 media.
