advieau
We have two Agfa Image Boxes that we bought in 2004. They still work pretty well, but the average image size & card capacity is much larger today than it was 7 years ago. With this, the machines are running much slower than before, and our customers are starting to get frustrated. What is the best way to solve this? I would like to buy a new motherboard & processor, but I don't know a whole lot about hardware. I've built computers before, but I never really felt like I knew what I was doing. Mostly I just connected things where they looked like they went, and everything worked out fine. I don't want to tear apart my image boxes without at least a vague idea of what I'm doing. Would it be cheaper to simply buy some new kiosks? Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
Mark Amies
Are you in the UK? Just wondered becuase the Focus on Imaging trade show is coming up soon and it may be a good opportunity to review the current options.
DakisPat
Advieau, If you can't sort out getting the AGFA image boxes upgraded, I can prepare a demo of our kiosk software for you. It runs on off the shelf computer hardware as such it's a much smaller initial investment than most of the alternatives. The interface matches our online interface which you can try out at: www.ipiphotodemo.com The upcoming Focus on Imaging conference is a good place to view other alternatives, although we're not traveling to the UK this year.
