Anthy
Does anyone have any experience in replacing the CD drive in a Kodak G3 ? I like to change it for a DVD drive. Do I have to use the original one from Teac or are different brands compatible? Any advice would be great. B.t.w. I'm still looking for Kodak 6800 service manual. Anthy
Thanks for your support Mike 11918. I'll give it a try. But before I order one, do you know witch interface it is? In my opinion it must be P-ATA. Or am I wrong?

pepe21
also, in order to work better you must have at least 1gb...otherwise it locks and you have to restart.
Anthy
Until now I got no problems with my 512 mb. But when I'm willing to upgrade to 1 GB, which type of RAM I have to use?
pepe21
What I meant is that it wi lock when you try to burn a dvd. in the ones that i have I used one stick of pc2100 kingston.
aussiecameras
There is no doubt that the G3's run far better with extra RAM. I think the recommended amount is one 1GB stick and one 512MB. RAM is pretty cheap these days. Upgrade to v2.0 at the same time.
