Front End Error 2181...

shutdown

Recommended Posts

Hello,

After scanning an analog material to the Front End computer I click the order number to start recording it to a CD. When it starts I receive:

"2181

CD-R Library caused an error.

CR-R write process is being cancelled."

I think it's the problem with setting correct drive letter in Admin. Settings...

The letter assigned to the drive is N:, so I set the CD-R letter to N.

When I select letter N for CD drive (I have only one drive installed) the program says the letter is incorrect (the letters probably cannot be the same). I remember CD-R recording used to work with just one drive but I can't recall the proper settings... Please help me.;)

Thanks.:)

Regards,

shutdown

My DVD writer doesnt burn anymore so i bought another external DVD writer. I've changed all the drive lettering and now it comes up with that error message.

Not sure what to do.

Hi,

I have solved it. The problem is that when You replace the optical drive it is sometimes necessary to update some files in the FDi software because newer optical drives are incompatible with FDi. You'll have to ask the technician for files modified for Your drive or edit them manually with HEX editor. Don't ask me what to do then because I'm not so into it...
