roll on in
hi everybody We have ran out of boxed chem for our frontier 570 but desperatly need to print for a few more hours. Is there a way to trick the machine into letting us print ? some sort of override ?
Bakul
What is the message saying? Is it something like "You need to replace the replenisher cartridge"? Are you using CP49?
XXLtdLab
Do you have access to chemistry you can add? I doubt we'll even see from this person again. Another one-poster looking to cheat. The answer is: You are going to lose quality and stability unless you add more chemistry.
roll on in
No , we aren't trying to "cheat" . Frankly if you don't know the answer no need to make snidy comments! I'm closing my lab and I ran out of chem in the last hours of trade, I have three outstanding cust orders that I would like to print. If any one can help I would be grateful. XXLtdLab
Ever consider borrowing some from another lab? You're just not going to get the blacks you need without fresh chems. "Cheating" is exactly what you're doing. There's no nice way of putting it. You can try raising the temperature (if the machine will even let you do that) or slowing it down (increasing the time) to compensate for the loss of developer activity. Your secondaries (blix, stabilizer) being diluted will hurt the print stability. So "helping" your customers may be what you're doing in the short term, but they won't be too happy if their prints fade less than ten years hence. I'm not trying to be a jerk. There's no such thing as a free lunch. There's no way to get top-notch prints without fresh chemistry.
