lucaferr
Hi, I run a small photography club in a remote town. We are considering setting up a FP230B, which we can get practically for free. Would it be possible to run it on a few films (around 10) just once a week, without constantly switching out the chemicals? Would this be feasible at all? Does anyone have access to a manual, preferably scanned which they could send me, please? It would be great to read up a bit on the machine. Regards, Luca
DTR Tech
I think the lowest minimum that I have seen is 10 rolls per day. Your chemicals may go bad pretty quick.
lucaferr
Thank you for your reply, that gives me an idea at what I'm looking at. It seems quite unlikely then. I read somewhere Kodak provide chemicals for lower throughput situations. Would it be possible to use other chems with this device, perhaps? Maybe I'm just getting myself into more trouble than I should...
yustas
It is more reasonable to have ONE film processor for ONE city and have conclusion with all your competitors to run ONE lab for all photo-finishers of the city... In this case you will be able to save your chemicals and reduce expenses.
Rammstein
Так если лаб будет стоять неделю выключенный , а день работать, что с химией случится? Ведь портится в основном она в нагретом виде.
nash
i have a Fuji FP230B and i just run a about 6 blank leader cards through out per day
DTR Tech
Does that seem to work well? I thought the machines would not add replenisher unless it thinks that film has been put through it.
nash
well i`ve been running this film processor from new, (thats about 20 years now)
lucaferr
Thank you for your reply Nash, that is indeed valuable information to me. How often do you switch out the chemicals then? And how long have you gone, running only the leader cards? Best wishes, Luca
nash
if i remember correctly i have not changed any chemicals for at least two years but i do change out the washes every 6 months . And feeding leader cards through has been a very long time. And i switch the machine on every day
