ghn5ue
How is the chemistry? If developer is weak, laser exposure must be longer and could cause bleeding.
Christina Rose
sounds GMC20 / GMB20 board. if you doubt laser, then swap it with another machine 350/370 and confirm it is.

Kevbo37
I would have to say that this is a contamination problem. What did you use to clean the mirrors and lenses and polygon?
sisir
I used water and cotton cloth to clean polygon mirrors. But, unfortunately after cleaning the polygon I found there some scratch line on polygon mirror. Can I remove it?
sisir
But, I replaced the polygon with a good one, but problem is same. I changed the Laser unit with another unit and found the problem in Laser Unit.
Kevbo37
You should use a Q-tip brand cotton swab moistened with alcohol to clean the polygon . Acetone to clean the mirrors. Never swipe back and forth! Use each swab only once! Wipe slowly and smoothly in one direction only! Use the fewest strokes possible! Each time you wipe it, even with a very soft material, you are damaging the surface of the mirrors. Do not get acetone on any other surface of the unit! Unfortunately it takes special equipment to polish the polygon mirror. I do not believe it is possible. If you are lucky the scratch isn't in a position to cause a problem. sisir
I have already damaged the polygon by scratching on it while cleaning with cotton cloth. Can I replace the polygon only? Or, I have to replace the whole Laser Unit? Please suggest.
sisir
But, The problem is not for Polygon. What else can be? I am sure that this problem is not for polygon.
Kevbo37
I have not found a source for the polygon mirror. If you find one please let me know. You should try cleaning all of the lenses and mirrors downstream of the polygon. Use the alcohol or acetone and a Q-tip like I mentioned above. It could still be a film on one of your optical elements.
