Hi,

I guess most of the frontier users those who using CP cartridges once face this problem.( Number of prints exceeds the limit. printing canceled.).

but most of the case clean the rep tanks or putting new cartidge solve the error. but have noticed that after getting this error msg, delibrately need a fresh chemical mixing to disappear the error msg. so i would like to know is there anyway to run the machine without putting new cartidge? ( i mean how to use the remaining chemical inside REP tank. usually while cleaning the tank, drain all the remaining chemicals and put a new cartrdige).

I once had this problem. We usually have lots of paper and chemicals but once caught us by surprise so waited one day without being able to process anything.

I couldn't do anything to print in "emergency mode ) ".

I am curious, too.

Maybe tricking the level sensors, but it is a nig pain.

yeah, in that case you have to fill the P1R and P2A and P2B to be filled with the chemical and to make sure both lower and upper level sensor to be close.

On my Frontier 340, I'll sometimes get that message when the machine needs more water. If you're using CP49, all you should need to do is fill it with about 10 liters of FRSS water. It should begin printing shortly after the machine has done it's mix.

Hi, 'Number of prints exceeds the limit.' msg appear AFTER  "add water" message and AFTER "put new cartridge" message. So, if you asleep 2 messages F340 just stops.

Yes I can and I do manipulate our Frontiers to run after this message, but better follow messages careful.

Your question as I understood is how to use remaining solution in replenisher tanks. This message says "There is no more chemicals in rep tanks".

Have in mind P2 is mixed by P2RA and P2RB repl. If one of components is finished, the engine can't mix P2 and surrender. More over P1R, P2RA and P2RB must finish at same time. Careful technician will check this visually not by level sensors. Level sensors have tendency to collect mug and to give false information. This false info accumulates in repl. mixing table and cause wrong mixing decision next time when repl. is mixed. Is this your case?

There are 4 PSR valves in mixing module. After 5 and more years this need inspection. If even one of valves is in so-so condition (not bad) this lead again to mistakes in mixing.

I have a case where repl. mixing mistakes have been raised by ventilation pipe ....  

As you see simple error message may rice number of questions.

sorry this is not my case. what i want to know is is there any way to use the remaining replenisher chemical after Number of prints exceeds the limit message. because once this message comes, then def need to clean the tanks and level senors. chemical mixing will happen once the processor detect all lower level senors are ON. for that need to empty all rep tanks. so however the message comes, need to throw out the remaining rep chemicals and need to put new cartridge for a fresh mixing.

as of any reason if this error message comes then no other way other than throw out present chemical and put new cartridge. so i want to know is thereany way to use remaing chemical.

I wood like to help you but please let me know

1) Do you operate on F340 all time your self or other person works too?

2) How often this message appear (once weekly, monthly; on every 2-nd cartridge) ?

3) Next time when happens, please measure value of drained P1R, P2RA and P2RB in ml (measurement cylinder is included 200 ml in machine set).

   There are two way to reuse remaining chamical after this error. this is upto you which one do you like.

1) Simply add water in rep. tank of P1R, P2RA & P2RB after cleaning the sensor of P2RA. To check the lavel of chemical in rep. tank use " Processor input check" option in setup and mentinance. Like this your replanisher will little bit dilute but can be use.

2)  Remove all replanisher and save it some where. Install new cartradge and after few day when level gets low in rep. tank you can add saved replanisher in apropriate place (i.e P1R, P2RA & P2RB).

reagrding first option will not work. because once number of print exceeds the limit msg comes, then must need to MIX new repl.

Just drain all the chemicals and save them seperately in cleaned pot. Run the machine and get the message of Replenisher empty. While running the machine, Put the chemicals which drained from tank into the whole where the cartige is placed. After putting all the chemicals, check the level of tank if all tanks upper sensor are activated. If any tank level is not reaches at the upper level, just put some fresh water at the tank untill it reaches at the upper level. Thats all..

I applied the techniques several times with several Frontier 550 and 570. I have no idea about the Frontier 330/340. So I can be wrong. But, as the basic operation is same, I think it will be usefull.
