how to install fdi for frontier 370

u have to install windows 2000 with two partition "ex C  and  D"first with sp2 or sp4

install tcp ip or netbeui in the network

go to control panel systeme and change the coputer name write"FRONTEND in computer description and MICSGROUP in the workgroup clik aply to reboot the computer

then go to useraccount in the panel control

dear sir

i have a frontier 370 and i installed fdi c5  v 5.5 but it doesnt work

there was an error in scanner says (f-di device registration faild , check network connection)

but the netwrk is ok that both computers(scanner,server) can see each others by network group

i used win 2000 profissional and all is good

the program runs ok but when i make pre-operational check this error appears

can anyone give help please?

Check your DI computer to see if the network protocol ' NETBEUI'  is installed. If not , http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/netbeui-w2k.htm explains how. Also make sure fdi v5.5 is also installed on the SP2000 scanner. Do this by putting the cd in the scanner's drive, and restart the system. The installation will start automatically.

1-install windows 2000 sp4 or higher put pc name FRONTEND USE CAPS LOCK

2-INSTALL -MSDE -AND RE START PC

3INSTALL  -DI- PRINT/DATA WRITING

4- INTER THA TEMPORARY DIRICTORY  - D - PARTITION

5CONFERM THA COMPUTER NAME -FRONTEND- USE CAPS LOK

6- INSPOOL -D-     OUT SPOOL -D-  AND RESTART THA PC

7-IN SCANAR MENU DO PRE OPERATION CHEK TO MACK CONICTION TO SERVER  I HOP TO SOLVE YUR PROBLEM
