Yellow missing from the Upkeep and Blue Pictures

Recommended Posts

My Frontier 340 printer made a click or something and from that moment everything is blue, upkeep, paper auto setup, prints...

I tried restoring the HDD image but no change, so there must be something mechanical or one of the lasers because the yellow color rectangle is missing completely from the upkeep print.

What do i have to check and where?

Please help!

Mention: THIS IMAGE BELLOW IS A SCANNED PORTION OF THE UPKEEP  AND ONE PICTURE.

THE RED STRIPE IS FROM THE POOR QUALITY OF THE NEGATIVE USED.

Thanks very much for your prompt reply!

I excluded that chemical problem from the list because I did had wrong chemical mixing years ago and I know how it looks like, the stripe from the picture is just from the negative.

And it happened too fast, after that click, I think something is stuck, a filter, shutter or something, but don't know how and where.

You cannot see in this image but the yellow control rectangle just isn't there, not even misbalanced,  just missing.

I also tried to make color corrections to see if the blue cast is removable, so extracted 20 cyan and added 20 yellow: the result has been only a lower density blue cast, probably because I extracted cyan and added the missing yellow.

What is AOM? An electronic part but isn't there any mecanicals that can get stuck in the laser case?

We have another Frontier 350 and that one has some moving filters in there.

What if AOM isn't the only possible cause.

In the morning I'll disasemble the entire section for checking.
