Guest
Hi Experts, I am facing a problem in Fuji 370. It's motor stops after 5 minutes while paper condition setup though paper reaches only at dryer entrance. I'd changed a new motor. Is it any method to increase the RPM or speed of the motor through setup and maintenance? Thanks in advance..
Christina Rose
problem not because of motor. as u said u had change with new motor. if u increase RPM, it will affect quality of processing and create other mechanical instebility. Guest
Quality can be compromised instead of facing paper jam again and again.
Christina Rose
but as far as i know cant increase rpm of drive motor.

Christina Rose
check machine parameters are correct inside LP menu panel. i mean check LP1500 or LP 2000?
Guest
can you ellaoborate the Menu? please
Christina Rose
i mean check lp's menu or in scanner setup/maintenance -installation information menu- check the output device configured correct
Guest
yeah. i'd checked. the parameters are correct. what I diagnose that exposure belt (M570) has a slow speed. and paper is overlapped a bit before entering to processor which causes paper jam alarm between exposure and distributor. Christina Rose
if possible dismantle the processor and printer. check the gear which drive the processor. may be the bearings are worn out. so that will affect the processor speed. also remove processor entry guide and check the end gear which connected to the main gear. regards,
Guest
Yeah I'd checked that by removing the first entrance cross over. I'd noticed that while paper entered through the exit roller, it stops for a second by the time distributor nip activate for a second. Is it the system? coz I had noticed that when paper

Is it the system? coz I had noticed that when paper stops for a second while entering to the last exit roller in the distribution and exposure unit, the paper coming from the behind after exposure, transported continuesly which causes a little overlapping and it paper did not pass through the sensor one by one. It might be problem of alarm which stops further printing.
Guest
by the way, is there any frequency (60Hz/50Hz) setting in this Fu****ng m/c as in noritsu? I mean if I am missing it and m/c is set to be on 60Hz, than RPM could be slow on a m/c which is running on 50Hz.
Guest
Finally I found the menu for SE. I will check if the freq setting is correct or not. I hope it will solve my problem. Lets see.
Christina Rose
in LP's menu panel you can change frequency 50/60Hz.
Guest
well, I'd fixed this stupid machine.
Guest
Now the problem is machine processor drive stop exactly after five minutes no matter if you print a full film or few negatives. It really sucks a lot. is it any way that processor drive should not stops even after paper is fully processed?

Guest
can it be new motor which I'd changed? I am trying to make a bigger gear to compensate the RPM.
Christina Rose
Drive motor stops because somewhere machine detect a paper jam. is'nt it? i guess so. after printing if the print doest not reach the sensors within the time, then it will assigned as Jam and drive motor will get stop. "I am trying to make a bigger gear to compensate the RPM." GREAT IDEA. But manipulating gear and all not workout for you until have to findout the real cause. i feel strongly your machine problem besides printer area. Christina Rose
may be a paper movement delay might be happening before entering the developer rack.
Guest
It is motor. the new motor is not rotating on its speed on what it should be (140 RPM) I'd noticed that paper movement is slow. I takes 58 sec in Cd & BL instead of taking 45 Secs. dry to dry process should be complete in 4 minutes and in 4 secs but it is taking more than five minutes that causes paper jam alarm activated. but i wondered how a new motor behaving like this? I'd noticed that changing frequency 50Hz to 60 Hz or vice versa doesn't effect on a DC motor. though in noritsu, you can count rpm and than increase or decrease by changing pulse through the software. FYI
Christina Rose
Thanks for the information.... regarding the new motor, are you got the genuine spare part from fuji or you trying with compatible motor?
