alan@dunns
We had been getting an error 262 (communication error) on our LED 20P and I thought it would be worth sharing the sysmptoms and fix in case it helps anyone else. If you sent a batch of prints then after about 5 mins the printer would give a characteristic 'clunk' stop printing and come up with an error 262. But it would print individual prints. We spent ages checking the data connections, the scsi leads etc. Eventually we figured the communication error was valid - but it was coming about because the 28volt section of the power supply was overheating and shutting down (after about 5 mins of print activity). The cause was a failed cooling fan in the back of the power supply unit. Replaced that and we are running again.
ghn5ue
Thanks for posting this. As Kodak no longer supports these machines, it is good to share our wisdom and experiences!
