onelegman
I have a 6800 printer that does not cut all the way through the paper. It does not cut the left right or center of the page. I took it apart and did not see anything wrong with the cutting blades. Any ideas?
Mark Amies
It probably is the cutter unit. If it needs replacing , you best prepare yourself for the replacement part cost - it ain't cheap. I would suggest contacting your supplier. onelegman
They are cheap on ebay. Could it be the new kits they have out now? It has been working great till I installed the new white label kit. I did the firmware update. I got around 50 prints out of it. Then then the paper cutter quit. printerman
Somebody has hit the nail righ on the head .. The cutter wheel must sit behind the metal bar it runs along to keep it firmly in place. If you can see the cutter wheel, then just remove the three screws, on the bar, pop the cutter wheel behind the plate and re-screw. If the cutter still isn't cutting properly, then the cutter wheel will need replacing. It's lost it's cutting edge. That's all there is to it. BigMax
Company I am working for fixing all Kodak machines in New Zealand. Cutter blade is normally nothing wrong on the 6800 or 6850. Checking the belt for missing tooth and the gear connected to the motor for a crack. We sell the refurbished 6800 printer for only NZ$3000+gst (15%).
