Wallie
I think you have a problem with a 20th gear inside your bleach rack, you can find it out if you take your bleach rack out en turn fast at the white gear outside the rack. If the rack "slips" or making strange noises then you have to replace this 20th gear inside your rack. Wat also can cause the problem is the bushing (black one O 8mm ) at your driving shaft, if you have too much play on it ca. 0,5 cm then you must replace this. Otherwise when there is paper in your rack you have many force on your rollers and with the play on your bushing the gears will start jumping. Do you hear also bad noises inside your machine??? Hope too solve the problem, greetings Wallie
STEVE
Hi Wallie, Thank you for your advice. We have found the play in the drive shaft and repaired it. We replaced the gear at the same time. However, we still got some jams, but then found the top roller on the bleach rack was perished (into a bannana shape) causing a lot of extra stiffness in the rack. We replaced this and now everything is ok. Thank you once again. Steven

Steven Deverill
I've got a system 89 running the new 4.1 software. the thing i want to know is can you change the standard SDP prifile to some thing with a wider Gamut, or is it restrained by the device itself. any help would be good. I'm getting really flat images with brown grass at the moment
tony mcelhinney
Steven, are you running version 4.1.12 ? I had been told this was not available, and then mysteriously Kodak managed to send me discs to load this version. Thanks Tony
Daniel P
Hey Wallie, I have a question regarding the system 89 and networking to G3's. Recently the machine has been having major issues of another sort (printing vertical white lines down enlargements and sometimes 6X4). Now apparantly a part is being ordered to fix the problem, take a bit of time ect ect. but in the mean time to solve the problem all I have to do is restart the computer and it works for a while. However, I have found that when I restart the computer the G3's are no longer connecting to the system 89 when it is started up again. I think this only happens if someone is sending an order at the time of restarting. Regardless, i end up having to turn off the system 89, all the G3's, reset the hub and turn everything on again. Takes about 15-20min. Then problems can still occur where the networking programme the runs in the background (called TOMCAT or something, often it will load then exit after a few seconds) often wont start up automatically and if it doesn't (even if I start the programme myself) the G3's sometimes wont connect still and i have restart the machine again (usually only once) till the TOMCAT/ Catanalia (or whatever its called!!) programme starts up by itself. SO, What is the best way in your opionion that I should be restarting the machine. I think that if no one sends an order while I am restarting it is sweet but I cannot always guarantee that actually can occur. Any advice would be good but i understand that it might just be a matter of making sure no one sends an order at the time.
frenchman
hi daniel p what's your software version in system 89 & kpm3 ? 1 )for your network connection it's better connect the cable inside the computer not back of the machine .( after 1or 2 year old the connector will be broken (lowcost material) 2 )quit the application and with search find in C: the folder KIASSERVER.PROPERTIES and openup with notepad and see if the network port it's the same of your kpm3 the kiosk run with the network port 8080 or 256 but is better if the 2 are matched . for your line it's white line or grey line ? it's border line or inside the picture. if it's white border of the edge paper , check and clean the sensor exposure in the conveyor belt. if it's grey line/band with 4 milimeter i'm sorry but your lcd is out. frechman
