adamwooo Posted August 27, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 27, 2012 Update, we check with the computer service man the oryginal computer dell GX620, we check the power suplier, memory, hard disk, we put the another graphic card, and everything was ok. The problem is with main board or processor (CPU). The screen was blank, no sounds. Is immposible to buy in short time main board exactly the same, or Pentium 4 3.0 GHZ HT which was inside. So I decided to assembled the new computer. I made clone of the hdd, i tried to run new computer. After the shor time with windows loading screen, i saw the blue screen. So i decided to reinstal the minilab CD with OS and Software. After few tries, a put the windows embended OS 2.6.8 and the HDD, after that i put 4.4.11 version of software, i got it with the Minilab. So now is the problem with the PCI card whih has HDMI and RJ45 plug. In the hardware manager , there is exclamation mark that this device work not properly. We tried many times to install the PCIDKS310.sys driver, but the software didn't want to start. How to resolve this problem ? I need help. I have only one small problem, i have Polish Language, but the metrics is UK , in inches not centimeters, do you now how to change it? Of course this PC is much faster than the Dell620 but can you notice this when working on the DKS software? adamwooo Posted August 30, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 30, 2012 Yes i needed 4 days because there is very hard to get dell gx620 motherboard, the first problem was the canbus card , which comunicate computer with the rest of machine. All time, computer noticed that the card will not work, becuse there is not enouth resources. I checked every irq, input output memory, and nothing. I noticed when i moved graphic card , everything was good, but i had to turn on graphic card on motherboard which is on HDMI, so i must to buy the hdmi - dvi connector. After that , the dks program still not wanted to run. The resolution is to put the new firmeware to canbys card. After that the minilab began to run. I tested it by 1,5 hours, is much faster, especially opening the big photos (more than 15 mpix). Minilab didn't crash. Works like on dell but much faster. Here is the photo to prove it Greets! Remember that You need motherboard with parrel port for DKS software dongle key. I had to put new firmeware to PCI card which comunicate with PC with the minilab. adamwooo Posted September 1, 2012 Author Report Share Posted September 1, 2012 Relaxia : dziękuję mam satysfakcję , że jak twierdzi serwisant i serwis KIS niemożliwe stało się możliwe. the standard ATX case will fit fo sure, not to big, with the 2 CD roms hole. Yesterday i worked about 3 hours at minilab, made about 300 pictures and the DKS software works perfectly, and much, much faster. Now when You send one site with 38 pictures to print it will takes about 2-3 seconds, earlier about 15-20(the same sice 14 mpix), and also minlab opens photos much faster, its a moment. There are plenty on ebay and they have the core 2 processor so would have been a step improvement. However, your post is a much better option. Congratulations on finding the Gigabyte motherboard. I've ordered the same, along with the same i3 processor and 4Gb of corsair memory. As you can see from your screenshot, windows only has recognised 3.23 Gb of RAM, which is the limit that WinXP 32 bit can see, so there is no point going further. When you tried the clone of the hard disk, that will not work because all of the drivers on the cloned drive will be for the GX620, and it will not allow the chipsets to work. From what you have said, if the XP2.6.8 software has installed, then windows is probably using default drivers, or did you install more drivers after installing XP? I've bought a 128Gb SSD drive. I don't know what size drive you used, but did the installation use all the hard drive or did it limit it to 80Gb as per the original hard drive? What size are the C and D paritions? My DKS software is the same as yours, version 4.4.11LX. One last question: Did you backup the Parametres folder and then restore it, or did you do a brand new calibration of everything? I suspect that if you also install a USB3.0 reader, with UDMA cards, you will see more improvements in speed, which the GX620 could not give. Really appreciate you posting this information. When you install the software ( You have to use ghost program , form KIS CD just straight is not possible to install it ) You have to install all motherboards drivers ( especially chipset ). You need the hdmi dvi cable to use the motherboard Graphic Card , i've bought the separate Graphic but , i had a conflict between can bus PCI card and the Graphic. I've bought a 128Gb SSD drive. I'Ve used the same size samsung 128 GB SDD model 830 hard disk. You will have the same partitions such as original hdd, and some free space which is not partitionet, please use program to repartition it after installing os. I've copied the all dks catalogue from old computer, and after install the new OS and Software, i copied the catalogue Parameters and Constances ( You will have old , parameters and setup in it ) , after that You don't have to new calibration. I suspect that if you also install a USB3.0 reader, with UDMA cards, you will see more improvements in speed, which the GX620 could not give. On the gigabyte motherboard thera are 2 USB 3.0 ports. So if I understand correctly, software installation order is: 1) Restore original WinXP operating software using KIS CD 2) Install additional hardware drivers for Motherboard etc 3) Install DKS3 software from original CD 4) Restore the Constants and Parameters folders from the backup 5) Run DKSDIAG.EXE to resolve machine hardware issues. pskaro Posted September 6, 2012 Report Share Posted September 6, 2012 I have never changed the PC on DKS3 (I done it on a lot off DKS1 & 2), but I was thinking to do it for one customer Regarding the ghost application, it is already on the OS DVD (2.6.9a or 4.0.6) and it is located on DVD :\BOOT\GHOST, so there is no need to use Hiren Boot CD, but you have to exit from the KIS boot menu to go to DOS and start the Ghost from there and manually ghost the target PC. Reading all off this I still do not underastand why it is necessary to update the firmware off the PCI LVD card, the drivers are located on the application DVD :\tools\driver\PCIlvds CAN an there are 3 files, one is registry file (maybe it is necessary to start it manually updating the registry, to enable the service for the card ?), one DLL file and one INF file (this one is target file when updating the driver) As I never done it, I can not comment on possible problems and resolutions, more then the some off you who really tried that But off course I applaud to ones who done it successfully (clap) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I tried it like You wrote in DOS os. I had to load new firmeware because i have always an error starting DKS software ( transport.dll file is corupted or damage, there is no transport board ). It was only one way to resolve this problem. In dksdiag.exe i had also error in transportpaper.ini field, this field was red, any others were green. I think this way , because after reloaded the new firmeware , i could test this board. I dont,t know, maybe the different 1610 lab will not necessary to load this firmeware, but i had to, because i always had the error comunicate during running the program. When You instal the software You have only 16x0 and 17x0 option to choose, the x for example 1610 or 1670, software use to recognize by Dongle Key. I've copied all DKS catalouge to fix it and the minilab wouldn't want to run. So in my case dksdiag show me an error and DKS software also. Maybe during my motherboard have been spoiled, something wrong happened with CAN BUS PCI card firmeware.
