Ridge
I´ll get this rack motor overtorgue error everyday now. Sometimes lifting to hood and butting it down helps and racks start to turn. Sometimes i have to but magnet under hood and press switch and turn main shatf little and then machine works hole day, next day same thing..? Is motor going to brake down or what..? Beach Photo
There could be a few things going on. The shaft could be bent, bearings could be worn out and make the shaft wobble which causes overtorque. The racks themselves could be binding from worn bushings or bent shafts. Take out each rack and see if they turn smoothly,if not that is what is causing overtorque. Pressing down the hood to make it work will burn out the motor. That little motor is expensive. relaxia
check the clutch axles are turning freely. I guess some bearing tube inside technical duct lost the gaskets, lost grease and could be totally grinded (no more bearings)- which can cause such effect. watch out for the cluch gearing it could be also very used. CAMERA HOUSE
Rack motor carbon bushing warn out. Remove motor and replace carbon bushings. You can buy any carbon bushings. If they not exact size, file them to required size. Your problem solved.
relaxia
Bushings??? You meaned BRUSHES maybe??? Possible they are worn but such rework rather will not work in this case. Already tried this, but had much more problems and could not work with the machine. No positives here. I really do not recommend this method, U can harm the rotor. This is precise German motor, not a China blender.
Ridge
I checked all racks and greased all possible places but no luck, everything runs smoothly..! What if i try to turn motor herz little, it is 128-129hz now..? "This is precise German motor" Do you have a model for that, mayby i could find it somewhere, or is that "only kis" part..? CAMERA HOUSE
Either German motor OR Chinese blender they do have carbon brushes and they DO warn out. I have replaced mine and it did the job. I have two machines and I replaced on both. and it works 100%.

blusther
There is an overtorque voltage adjustment on the tank PCB, I deleted all manuals from KIS from me PC and waste all paper manuals, so I cannot check anymore. Maybe somebody can help you to check this adjustment, raise up the voltage a bit maybe help.
relaxia
- Motor power monitoring: When the rack motor is running without photos in the racks, the voltage should be approximately 7V for S89 10V for DKS 1500 a 1.6 A current (power = 12 W) mesure at solénoïd or tank pcb output. A power consumption of more than 15 W indicates a fault in the shafting or racks. And ... answering to your question - Overtorque: Use P8 to adjust the voltage measured on PT12 (to 4.5 V +/-0.1 V. DKS 967rpm):
Ridge
Machine was working better couple of days after i vacuum cleaned and air blowed 24V power. Yesterday one bush from shaft and it worked all day even machine stopped many times, today nothing worked well, i can get motor run but stop/go goes to red and wont let me do any photos even racks are rolling.. 24V power supply fan dont spin, i thing that supply is the weak spot, can i change it with that other 24V supply that i can order new one, theres lots of photos to do next week, mayby i could get some little more time..? Is that explosure 24V supply less "weak spot" than processor 24V..? And many thanks to everyone here and privat..!
Ridge
Changed motor today, it´s working..knocking wood..=) My dad is opening motor someday just for curiosity, let´s see what we find..
relaxia
So your Martek power supply was overheating. Either change power supply either buy new fan and replace it - someone already did this on this forum. I think swapping power supplies wil not change situation - 24 lamp power supply is draining much mor current and PS is working at the upper capacity limit. YOu'll get frequent "lamp burnt out" messages. I fyou don't have proper fan ( Graphic card ones - 4-5cm You can also take out take PS cover out and put any PC fan you'll find - for the processor cooling f.e. should work for a while. if interested send me PM for the power supply. Ridge
"Either German motor OR Chinese blender they do have carbon brushes and they DO warn out. I have replaced mine and it did the job. I have two machines and I replaced on both. and it works 100%." You are 100% right, used motor broked last week, my uncle but new carbons in it, use carbons that are used in 24V, simple thing to do for a person who knows something about motors..=) There is 17mm carbons, after 2mm it starts to make broblems, hz starts to wobble.. relaxia
If you have replaced carbon brushes and it works - good for you. Let's wait how long it will work since usually these brushes are from China . I can play with brushes with cheap devices either ones I do not care if I break something, either ones I am personally affected or i want them to be in original state. But for the machine which works for my income - only for the reliability reasons I would change whole motor and have peace for another 7-10 years. I dunno how much the rack motor is worth now - when I had few in spares i did sell them for 100 EUR and I don't think it's a high cost for such period of the reliability. Most of KIS users need to save at least 2000 for the LCD witin 4 years, 100 EUR within 8 years is almost nothing in relation to the income made. OK need to check my sources again, maybe not drained yet
