What is CTO means

Recommended Posts

Hi Mario,

CTO stands for "Compensation Turnover". The idea is that if you have a low throughput of work going through the machine, then evaporation will become significant and alter the chemical strength. For most labs, it is not necesary. I've never used it, so I only know the basic idea. The system attempts to adjust the chemical strength in times of low turnover, so if you change the chemistry, you would also need to reset the CTO to 0 so that everything starts from new.

If you do need to use the CTO system, it is important that you get good advice about the settings as it will be altering the chemistry.
