Dave S
What is the full error number? Have you tried replacing the SD RAM on the image processing PCB?
pepe21
I did...twice...the error number is, 6820-16801
Vfixit
It is Laser Problem.
pepe21
Is it? because I just run a laser diagnostic and everything came back ok...
Dave S
That error means bad synchronisation between the image processing PCB and the laser. Check all the connections on the laser control PCB and around the laser unit. Swap out the AOM drivers with known good ones. If you still have the same problem it will probably be caused by a worn out laser unit. I'm guessing you are getting this problem intermittently? If so the laser diagnostic software may not catch it when it looses synch, you can try increasing the test time, it may then show something. pepe21
I try two other lasers and swapped AOM's...still the same problem.
Dave S
Replace laser control PCB + clock PCB's. Replace the laser I/O PCB Replace the laser power supplies (maybe giving unstable voltage).
