THIS  is what i found thru this forum its worth giving it a try!

i would try this first::

Carry out the MLVA head cleaning.

NOTE

• Perform cleaning of the Pressure guide, the Brush and the Head. It can be performed in the user level.

• Carry out the Weekly Setup/Uniformity

4995-22 Example of abnormal print

Lines (lack of uniformity) which are different from peripheral color and

density (Case 3)

Features of symptom

• The lines appear parallel to the paper advance direction.

• The density between the lines and peripheral part is different.

• The density of the lines is different for each gradation of a test print.

• The lines appear whole part of the print.

IMPORTANT

• Above sample image may differ from actual one.

Explanation and check point

Explanation

• The uniformity setup of MLVA unit has not been carried out normally.

• The uniformity has carried out while the MLVA head, calibrator, or flatbed scanner was soiled.

• The Load Voltage Adjustment has not been carried out normally.

• Carry out the MLVA head cleaning.

NOTE

• Perform cleaning of the Pressure guide, the Brush and the Head. It can be performed in the user level.

• Carry out the Weekly Setup/Uniformity (calibrator).

• Replace the MLVA lamp.

• Check the voltage of the MLVA lamp power supply.

• Check if the filter wheel operates correctly or is not broken.

• Check if the calibrator unit slides smoothly.

IMPORTANT

• Turn the slide ball screw with your hand to check if the calibrator unit slides smoothly.

4995-22 Example of abnormal print

• Never touch the slide ball screw with bare hands. Use the clean gloves or cloth.

• If the slide ball screw is soiled, wipe off the dirt with a clean cloth.

• Check of the connector contact

• Check the integrator (filter wheel side).

• If the end of the optical fiber cable which has been connected to the integrator (filter wheel side) is soiled, an error

will occur when carrying out the uniformity calibration.

• Clean the FB scanner.

• For FB scanner Astra4400, you can clean it by dismantling.

• Carry out the Flatbed scanner setup and Uniformity (FB scanner).

IMPORTANT

• Be sure to backup the data before reading. If the lines are not cleared by reading the data, set the condition of the

machine so that the machine can be returned as it was.

• If the lines are cleared by reading the data, the work completes. If the lines are cleared but the uniformity is lack,

be sure to carry out the Uniformity (FB scanner).
