Laser Problems

I'm not sure if it is time relates, rather than related to the number of prints.

There have also been several software updates where noritsu have powered down the laser when its not actually printing. That was done to prolong the laser life.

In the end, you need to be aware that the laser WILL fail at some point, and you need to be able to cover the cost of repair or replacement.

There are certainly suppliers on this site who can do the job for a whole lot less money than replacing the laser through Noritsu, but ultimately only YOU can decide how you will cover the replacement/repair costs.
