majortrouble Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 My 2301 is giving this alarm message No. 527 -zoom lens operation error. My trouble shooting manual doesnt tell me how to resolve the reccuring problem. Anyone out there who can help me?
Magenta Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 unfortunately you zoom lens is sticking internally and not moving correctly when changing zoom positions. It will need to be stripped, cleaned and re lubricated. The lens is sealed in an effort to keep out dust but a good lens technician should be able to do the work. I normally find when I have done it myself that they will work for maybe 6 months before they need doing again
