Hi all!

I bought Noritsu QSS 2611 with VFP 8 (second-second-second hand :).

Trying to start using minilab I understood that I bought not only

minilab, but a few problems too.

So I have a few questions to respected members of this forum.

This post will contain only one question, but other questions follows :)

I discharged all chemistry from minilab, then minilab was

throughly washed and cleared. New chemistry was filled

and now minilab prints "Daily Setup" (regular and VFP) well.

Now I can print fotos from 35mm films (print with some problems,

but it will be the next question), but I can't print digital fotos.

And now drumstick's beat.......

...Question itself (excuse me, it will be very detailed, for clearness):

Previous user of 2611+VFP8 use "EZ Mall 2.1" installed on Windows XP

for digital printing.

Computer that came with minilab died on my hand just after I bring it

to its new "home" (computer was very old and was long working bad),

so I make new one (Core 2 Duo, much memory, much HDD etc).

then was installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 (plus some after-SP2 updates),

then was installed Tekram SCSI adapter (from old computer) and its drivers,

then was installed "Force ASPI v1.8" (it's "hacked" Adaptec ASPI Drivers v4.71.2).

Next move I installed "EZ Mall v1.8" and then upgrade it to "EZ Mall v2.1"

(I use so complex way because of my "EZ Mall v2.1" distributive

support only upgrade, not clear install).

During installation of "EZ Mall" I selected "26 VFP, 290 dpi" cause I have VFP 8.

After installation I deleted "Change SCSI" program from autorun.

In "EZ Mall" program I set "CH02 [102(1)*152], WB(0mm,0mm), (102*152), 26 VFP 290, 290dpi"

as "print channel" (I don't remember how it named exactly).

Minilab connected to PC's SCSI card, and I have no other SCSI devices connected.

In "device manager" I see "generic printer" with some strings like "NORITSU"

and "VFP 8" in properties. It have "Bus Number 0, Targed ID 6, LUN 0" also.

As for minilab, I press "FORM" button and select AUX.2 channel

(choice looks like "10, [AUX.2], CROP, 1 FRAME, VFP, --")

And then, when I trying to pring foto from "EZ Mall" I see such error message:

"PRINTER ERROR

  VFP ERROR [28681:32769]"

By the way, when I unselect AUX.2 channel on minilab in "FORM"

and try to print foto from "EZ Mall" then I see another error message:

"PRINTER IS NOT CONNECTED VIA AUX.2 [01:01]",

so I think that probably problem is not in computer/software,

not in PC<->LAB connection, but problem is in minilab itself (maybe I wrong).

N.B. I see no "SETUP NOT COMPLETED" error message as in other's post

in this forum where "VFP ERROR [28681:32769]" take place.

I see only "PRINTER ERROR, VFP ERROR [28681:32769]" error message

I want to remind that "VFP Dayly Setup" is working well

and "Index Print" is working well also, but printing from

EZ Mall isn't working :(

Where is the problem?

Can anybody help me, please, and give an advice about what

should I do that my minilab begins to print digital fotos?

Thanks!

Hi Mihail!

i have same problem last few days, but I'm get do not know, when sent massage VFP ERROR [28681:32769] I chose retry  (I have XP black SP3 ASPI drivers and others like you except EZ v.2.1; I have install v.1.8)

After day-two I reinstall XP and install w98SE and EZ Mall 2.0 and connection PC-qss2611 is OK and printing digital fotos, but I have other problems with VFP  ;).

I think (but not sure) that EZ Mall 2.1 don't work with 2611 (can't support for qss 2611, see official web site of Noritsu)

Hi all, hi Chero.

I solved my first problem with QSS 2611 and printing digital photo! :)

(but more problems not solved yet :( )

This is solution:

I installed "Force ASPI v1.7" ("hacked" Adaptec ASPI Drivers v4.60)

instead of "Force ASPI v1.8" ("hacked" Adaptec ASPI Drivers v4.71.2)

and now "EZ Mall" can print ditital photos on QSS 2611.

So installing "right" version of ASPI drivers was helpfull for me,

but I am not sure that in every case of similar error this will helpfull,

because of many reasons (another SCSI cards, another computer configuration,

another SP for XP, etc)

P.S. By the way, how can I modify this forum thread title (I want to add "[sOLVED]" in thread title) ?
