Sending Data Issue--Help!

Recently we replaced our primary workstation (EZmall is installed on this machine) completely, hardware and software.  The new machine runs on XP.  For the most part, our upgrades operate as expected, faster and smoother.  

However, one issue has been generated since the revamp and has us stumped.  I will send a job to print, hear the paper feed and move on to another print job, only to realize a job or two later that I have no prints from any of the jobs.  In the output process, it stops sending data and thus will not print.  The majority of the time this happens at the beginning of a job, but there have been occurrences where I'll be dozens of images deep into a job when it stops sending data.

Our first thought was that it was a connection issue as there were a few times when we would adjust the connections on the back of the tower, etc., and the data sending would resume.  Unfortunately, this rarely fixed the issue and a computer restart was usually the answer.  That, as well as realizing that restarting EZmall even without a full PC restart also resets and allows us to resume printing, makes us believe it's not a hard connection issue.  

We also thought there may be a correlation between this error and having Photoshop open, but I've noticed the issue without Photoshop running.

Perhaps there's a conflict between XP and EZMall?  A chance we didn't set it up properly?

Your thoughts would be much appreciated, the down-time is extremely frustrating, and of course, affects the bottom line.

I have many MP1600 and this issue comes up as we operate stand alone.  While XP can be used over Win 2000 I would not recommend it unless you are an experienced Windows user.  I assume you have canned the SCSI hard ddrives at this point and found everything running very smooth.  I assume you run etiher 5E or Cat 6 as well.

We have had this problem and have found it to be a Newtork Traffic problem.  When you send to the hot folder (See your Regedit netorder path) how many other computers have network access to the computer that feeds your Noritsu MP1600 computer?  If you have over eight connecctions with XP PC to PC then you can always install another network card with a static IP specifically to talk with the MP1600 computer or isolate antoher computer to just feed the images to the MP1600 computer.  I know it sounds redundant but Noritsu talks its own language altogether.

This solved it for us but you may also check your network connections as it may be marginal.  If you are using the netowrk connection on the motherboard, try a PCI network card or PCI Express network card for the computer.  One of these should solve your problem but we have not found it to be any part of the Noristu system.
