Remove the 135 negative error..

All of the sudden we now keep on getting an error (dont have the number atm) telling us to remove the 135 film from the carrier, but there is no film present..

This happens almost every time we change between APS/240 and 135 and will only go away if we detach the carrier, then clear the error and retach the carrier again, sometimes we need to do this several times to get it to work.

I have tried to clean the loading sendor for 135 (and the others as well) but with no effect, may there be some dirt under the protective "glass" for the sensor?

And if so, is there a way to clean the sensor, nut just the "glass"?

And is the sensor on top or under the carrier?

Most probably the flat cable inside the AFC got damaged.

The sensors are normally in the lid section (on the top), the LED lights are on the bottom.

As Kust has said, normally the problem is due to damaged cables, remove the top cover, and have a look at the cables at the back, these get scrunched every time you move between 135 & 240 positions.

I did check the cable today, no visual faults, but i did take out the sensor and cleaned it with some canned air, and now it's working alot better, but still sometimes give this error.

So it may just be a dirty sensor, is it safe to clean it with a small amount of isopropanol (alcohol) on a Q-tip?

Go to F=> menu => F-1 enter the 9566 password =>  after go to  extension =>(if you see red folder is good) maintenance =>various adjustement=>film carier adjustement => F function => make the sensor light adjustement (the black choice first) and (after the red choice ) close the alarm and go to pass order menu for the reinitialisation of the film carier . DON'T FORGET BEFORE TO CLEAN VERY WELL ALL SENSOR WITH ALCOHOL 90

increase  the 135loading sensor gain value ,then run <make the sensor light adjustement> may be better
