scanner for uniformity setup

   i use noritsu 2612 VFP8, for a long time...and i do uniromity setup VFP many times with my scanner microtek scanmaker x6. Now, my scanner is broken and can't fix.

Which scanner next to buy for this process (uniformity setup)?

i heard that some scanners can make a big problem with color corection!

I have used an Agfa e50 with some success, which is probably as old as the Microtek X6, so others can be used to help in  dragging uniformity back into the ball park. The execise was very fiddly to say the least. I created a  template to overlay on the scanner platen once I established the physical location for the prints to minimise "start position" errors.

As for repairing Microteks, other than the cold cathode lamp, very little goes wrong except the PSU which can be subsitiuted with a small generic equivalent having a similar footprint.

You can use

Epson perfection 4800  for sure

Its much better and work 100% ..   I am do it several times
