2901 slide carrier on a 3202

I've just been offered a 2901 auto slide carrier (not the manual MMC model) for a steal of a price, but I am trying to find out if it can be modified to work on our 3202. I believe that all it needs is the small condenser lens on the base, but I'm not so naive as to think it could be that easy.

Does anyone know if it can be done? If I can find out, I'll buy it and worry about the mod later, but I don't want to miss out on it in the meantime.
