X1Tep Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 Hello. Have a question. When i try to do Uniformity calibration, i see error 6053-0001 Exposure Advance Unit Hold error. When i want to clean head or brush clean i reseave same error. May be somebody what can i do to correct this error?
Dave S Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 I presume this is on a Noritsu 2901? This problem is caused by the mechanical locking mechanism on the exposure advance unit failing to release. The design of the original lock unit is pretty poor, and tends to self destruct after many years of use! The lock motor unit is held on by 2 allen key screws, but it is really awkward to get to, I would not advise you to attempt to repair this yourself. There was a modified type unit available from Noritsu to stop this problem from happening. You really need to get a Noritsu expert in to look at this for you.
X1Tep Posted February 16, 2008 Author Report Posted February 16, 2008 Thank you very much. Will try to call to Moskow and ask about this unit and experts support.

Can you give me part number of this unit?
Dave S Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 The modification number is R504005-01-00 The part number of the new unit is Z023530-01
robinson Posted April 20, 2008 Report Posted April 20, 2008 there is no need to replace the complete unit, just replace the torque limitor on the existing unit(which is very cheap) and the unit can be used as normal.
