Color problem for Qss3001

Hello guys,

thank you for reading this post.

i have a problem with printing/colour on my 3001.

firstly, everyday i do daily setup and everything prints out fine, but after few hour it starts changes the colour to blue so i do the daily setup again and same thing.

furthermore, i decided to change the emulsion every week but the colour wouldn't stay constant. changes now and then.

lastly, i've attached a scanned picture of a print. can you help me out on that and reply what the hell is going on?

The most likely cause of the problem is a faulty AOM signal processor.

If the prints swing between blue and yellow (as in your photo) it will be the blue AOM signal processor that is faulty.

hello dave, thanx for the reply. the fault doesn't happens all the time. i'd say maybe once in 200-300 prints.

secondly, does this AOM fault effect the emulsion of the paper constantly?

Yes a faulty AOM signal processor can affect the paper emulsion consistency.

If it happens to shift while it is printing, you get the half colour print effect as in your example print.

Almost definitely an AOM. As already stated it's pretty straightforward to swap them and see if a different colour is affected. As time goes on it will affect a greater propoertion of prints and will eventually happen continously.
