QSS-2901 V QSS- 3101

Hi to all QSS-2901 & QSS-3101 owners I have been using a 2211 for a number of years now but i wish to get a second hand digital machine but do not know which would be best, the 2901 or 3101. I know that the 2901 uses the MVLA exposure system and the 3101 uses a Laser system. My question is do both machines produce the same quality print as each other say at 8"x10" print size from a digital file. And regarding a 35mm neg. will they both produce the same print quality as each other? And at max print size of 12"x18" how does each machine stand up?

2901 is top of the world ..  newer again machine like that ...

I personally think the 2901 is one of the best printers ever produced. From the talks I have had with techs it seems the MLVA is more reliable then the Laser.

The 2901 MLVA engine is 100% reliable than any laser engines made by noritsu and there is no fear of AOM signal processor breakdowns(which oftenly malfunctions in noritsu laser machines).In the contrary 2901 power consumption is slightly higher than 3101 and 2901 uses two lamps(one for mlva light source and another for scaner),which are costly and the life of this lamps are 900hrs.
