arcnet and communication error

a wide goodday to everybody here. I would appreciate any help to my trouble.

ten days ago i bought a used qss 2901 and last days when the tech reach to the point of setting up the machine

appears two error messages

1. 6903-0001  serial communication error--- colometer unit

2. 6901-0080  arcnet communicationerror--   image processing pcb

does anyone know the reason of these? me tech trying of finding the days pass i have thrown my previous agfa

and the production has  haulted. any advise wellcome thanks a lot

We had the arcnet error and it was a loose fiber optic cable in the back of the CP. You will get the error also if they are in the wrong spot. You may also have to trim a tiny bit off the fiber optics if the ends are damaged. Also check and make sure there are no small bits of anything in the holes where the cables go.

As for the colorimeter unit error, check to make sure the cable is not pinched anywhere. Make sure the serial cable is in the right port and is in properly.
