3202 PRO laser exposure adjustment

I just did an exposure position adjustment in service mode on my 3202PRO as suggested by another member's previous post, to get rid of blue and yellow lines around the edge of images. I noticed when I made this adjustment that I am almost at the maximum tolerance. I was wondering what next? After you have adjusted to the limit of that adjustment, where do you go from there?

What would cause the laser to go so far out of alignment? The machine has'nt been moved, no changes in operating conditions, is there anyone out that knows a little more about the laser section of this Noritsu Printer QSS-3202PRO
