2301 HRCRT SPEED UP OR SOFTWARE

Someone knows how to increse speed printing system of HRCRT? it is very slow, but in reprints (same of one is fast)...

I think is a software problem due to software wait one by one to send prints...

.---Have someone there the Internal HRCRT PC Software to reinstall ? Not EZ Mall, that I need is the internal Software...

Dave S is correct, on a 2301 it will take the hrcrt the same time to print a 12x4" print as a 6x4" print.

Buy 12" rolls of paper.  Tile up your images in PS and get out the stack cutter{guillotine},(2x 6x4" across a 12x4"canvas. Create an action in PS to do this)

If you are in Australia, I have one in my shed, you can have this baby for AU$2k. Kodak did the servicing all its life, including a replacement tube (Feb '06), hardrive, 8 mags, mac/win plugin, latest Ezymall, full 120 setup, greeting cards, blah blah blah. We paid over $300k  :'(

Everything involved with this printer must go... you will need a truck.

Reprints are 2 or more prints of the same file... (not negative). When I print 2 or more speed is fast...

Do you know How can I Speed up digital by software? ...

When you print by EZMall, it check file by file if it pass to CD an then print next... that is the delay...

How can I put EZMall to send pics continusly without checking?

The delay is probably the processing/converting of the image for printing on the HRCRT, when you send 2 prints that are the same it only needs to convert it once, and print it twice, so it is quicker.

This is probably due to the speed of the internal HRCRT PC, which is only a Pentium 1 200MHZ with 64 megabytes of RAM.

But trying to upgrade it would be total nightmare software wise.

You could add extra RAM easily, maximum would be 2 sticks of 128 SD RAM, (remove any EDO type ram if fitted) but I don

Don't forget that at some point Noritsu shortened up the "print gap" in software and did increase the speed that it would print. So get the latest software for the HR/nori-12 computer. As I remember we had it going about 100 8x10 per hour. We used Photoshop and quickkeys to automate the export function. SleasyMall was to fricking slow for us.

:)I programmed a software for my 2301 that can increase the HRCRT speed from 45sec/each diferent image to 6x4" 11secs/each diferent image, and 12x18" approx 20s/ph.
