Magenta Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 The software for these old machines comes on EEProms, Chips on the main PCBs that have the data burned on. They have white labels (do not remove) that state the version letter A,B,C etc. If its working leave it alone, if you need to change a PCB with a chip on it, remove it carefully and refit it to the new PCB. Its not hard but take care with orientation and normal anti static precautions. If its lost memory its likely to be the battery that holds your settings, print size, lens, paper feed etc. they say they last 3 years but I have known them last a lot longer.
