s layne Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported me in my battles over the Noritsu 2301 that I purchased from Noritsu America Corp. People from this forum (one person in particular) stepped up to bat and helped me with my problem. Noritsu and I finally after 4 1/2 years of fighting ended up in arbitration. Of course, I had to go to California for this arbitration. But I want the world to know that I won and Noritsu had to pay me big time, in excess of $200,000, when things could have been settled a lot earlier and with less expense if Noritsu America had just taken care of the problem to begin with (read Noritsu 2301 thread). Noritsu's own witnesses in the arbitration testified that my problems were with the equipment. They also testified that they couldn't get the machine to work properly. Now if Noritsu America's Customer Service Department (John McKenzie) had spoken with these people before arbitration, he would have known what their testimony would be and could have taken care of my problems years before arbitration. It is my opinion that John McKenzie (customer service for Noritsu America was the main problem and does not care about customer service). By the time Noritsu got thru paying for all their attorneys, my attorneys, their expenses, my expenses, they could have given me four or five new machines and could have saved all of us time and energy. Noritsu said they had never had any problems with the 2301; but their own expert witness testified that he had had problems with the 2301 and Noritsu had replaced it and upgraded it with no cost to him. Talk about a surprise for Noritsu America after they had sworn that they had never had any problems with a 2301 machine. The judgement will be entered against Noritsu and if anyone wants to read what happened, this case is open for the public to read about. If anyone ever needs any help with Noritsu America, just let me know. I just wanted everyone to know that something good came out of my battles over the color shifting problems I was having and that Noritsu America can be held accountable for things they do. Their salespeople can also be held accountable for what they tell you when your are purchasing a machine. Thanks to everyone.
Retired Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 I was just rereading the 2301 post from before. Perhaphs you could post the summery judgment for us. I, as well as others have had better luck with Noritsu than aparently you have had. But I wondered if the company has gone downhill as much as the engineering of their equipment has.
s layne Posted May 20, 2007 Author Report Posted May 20, 2007 As soon as I get the summary judgement and related paperwork, I will be happy to post it. It will also give a breakdown of everything. As far as I am concerned, Noritsu's America's customer service is practically non-existent. Can you imagine the stupidity of spending so much money for something that would have been so easily corrected in the beginning. Maybe Noritsu will learn some lessons if people continue to hold them responsible for both their equipment and their sales people. I for one will never do business with Noritsu America again. Noritsu, in my opinion and this also came out in arbitration, have paid people for their silence in quite a few instances. I don't know how they chose whom they will take care of and whom they won't. It seems to me that they have a very unfair system in dealing with problems. So beware.
