Banding on 3001

Banding is nearly always caused by something mechanical.

It may be the drive belt on the laser advance unit has frayed and is causing the print to stop for a fraction of a second per motor revolution.

If you are looking at a 4x6 print (paper width 4”) in the landscape direction, the lines will run from the top of the print to the bottom of the print (Parallel to the 4” side of the print). This is banding.

If the lines are in the opposite direction to this it is probably a roller problem in the CD/ BF racks/ crossovers.

The machine will definitely let you know if there is a problem with the laser unit!
