Long Prints - Epson 9800

Hi there, I've been trying to print an extra long (3m) print on our Epson 9800, but the print preview constantly shows it will just print a portion of the image. We've had no problems with 1.5 - 2 metre prints but this one seems to be just over it's limit. We're not using a RIP, but didn't think that would be the issue. Is there something I've missed in the setup? BTW we're printing from Freehand MX.

Cheers Nick, It is a graphics file with mainly colour, text and smaller file size images for a trade exhibition. In the print preview it showed only half the image - and also lost one of the colour panels (showing only the text) - despite all the components being grouped together.

Have you printed this type of graphic file before.  The Epson printers are not postscript so need the image converting to dots(raster) at some stage this is normally done using a RIP.  With no RIP you are relying on the software doing its own attempts at this.  Options that might work are saving a copying and then selecting all and rasterizing from within the graphics software.  Or to export a TIFF file that can be checked in say Photoshop and printed from there.
