Mark Amies
I was reading a thread on a photographers' forum , a general one, and the question of Focus came up, in terms of how easy it was to get in. Seems the general response was that anyone could go. Of course this may suit some , but I know from experience that if you get loads of sightseers, who have very little interest in buying , either then or afterwards it can lead to problems with those who are genuinely there for business from getting to speak to trade exhibitors. Maybe Mary Walker could think of running a consumer user show and a seperate trade and buiness show, as seperate entities?
NeilT
I have not been to Focus for several years because of the open door policy The last time I went, was to make a purchase of a mini-lab close to £150k and I was constantly being interrupted by leaflet collectors, or punters asking for free film processing.... I have never been back since.
