fujilab
We have just been sent a two month trial version of the Dakis kiosk software. Installed fine and going to let our customers loose on it soon. Has anyone else been using this as the pay-as-you-go system seems to be a good way for us to add some more kiosks
kioskguy
We want to put more kiosks in before summer. How do you get the trial - is it from the same people who provide the online software?
philspectrum
Dakis is well regarded internationally. It is suggested useful for personal products/ photo gifts, and has same interface for instore kiosk and online. I am very interested in your findings. Dakis apparently has the advantage of easy template generation, and if you are members if marketing programs from.... First photo, or IPI independant photo imagers, then there are heaps of free ready Made layouts to get you going. I am hunting for online and kiosk software, and am hungry for your feedback! Orundarkes
To take part in the trial you can return the following by fax or email (instructions within) http://www.dakis.com/temp/rollout.pdf Cheers
cecilh
We are clients of First Retail and instantly had the ability to print collages, instant photo gifts, etc, using the First Retail templates. This saved me a LOT of time, otherwise I would have had to start from scratch designing all the templates. The Dakis kiosk software looks like it has a lot of potential. As it can be run on a standard PC then I think this benefits retailers in that you can upgrade hardware easier. Ben
fujilab
Now running on a PC is our shop with limited customer access. It has been popular with the staff - especially the collages. Nice touch having the photo gift templates too. If it proves a success we might go hunting for some deals on touch-screen computers to add more. philspectrum
Please could you share a report of the Dakis software with us? What do you like about it? How is it different? How is it charged for? What support have you had? I'd really appreciate a review because I don't know what I might be missing! Thanks phil

Could you point me in the direction of the "First Retail Dakis templates" please. If they suit my purposes, and budget, I would to save some time as well. Thanks Kel. cecilh
Hi Kel, just let Pat at Dakis know that you use the marketing program, then when he sets you up they can link your site in with the creative and gift templates. That means you can be up and running immediately without any setup. It's a great system - I think you'll like it. The possibilities are endless.
