fujilab
When the weather was cold and wet throughout winter we complained because the customers stayed away - and they had a good excuse! Now with the recent hot days we've seen the same thing - the High St is deserted! How is everyone else finding trade?
Photographis
Yup, thats about it. Looking forward to lots of suc's left sitting in the sun on the beach, and already seeing lots of over exposed (high contrast) digital images. Still getting a load of snow images. Trade is generally slow, but several larger orders keeping things going.

philspectrum
been really busy last month or so, - student season, - but the season does seem to get later, and shorter each year...... Wide format holding up well, - but fewer digital prints. tend to get more 'challenging' clients these days, - ie the ones sent away by Boots, Jessops, Asda etc - thats life ! snpysnps
I agree. We have had some days even I have wondered why I am at work as the weathers been superb. You can't blame the punters for taking advantage of it. The first few days of our week were quiet but we did an email marketing Wednesday which brought a load of business in. Without that we would have been quiet. You're right - there's no one on the streets. I think everyone is at B&Q buying barbeques
Colopt
Here in the southern hemisphere it's starting to get cold! It's always quiet in the extreme temperatures, hot or cold. And the past summer we had some killer hot days (42 C about 107 F) One customer left a box of photos in her car on one of these hot days and they literally melted and stuck together! Something I haven't heard of happening before.
kioskguy
We were really busy last month too as we did a restoration and slide print promotion. It brought lots of old photos out of the woodwork - in fact we did some days similar to Christmas with big orders being collected. Kiosk sales are up in volume but we notice that the weather has a lot to do with how many customers are coming in. Not sure everyone is at B&Q - more like Morrisons. See their sales were up 8% year on year and half a million new customers shopping there each week? Maybe we should be selling food.
Steven Deverill
not really sure how we are doing! VERY up and down from a day to day basis. I'm not even what is classed as a good week anymore. I feel I am generally up through the shop on the 1st six months of the year compared to last although pro printing has dropped off dramatically. time will tell when we hit next month, normally july and august are very busy.
