will@tds
Hi all, New member looking for advice. Had a customer with a Canon Ixus 90IS and a 4Gb Jessop SD card. Card would not read on three different systems. Only way to access the card was through the camera with Canon's software. Can anyone explain why? Are the Canon cards formatted differently, this was the only conclusion I could come up with after reading all the manuals. Thanks in anticipation Will@TDS
kikskiks
Hi there, did you try it with a normal cardreader or with terminals? None of my terminals (Noritsu) will read 4 GB SD
will@tds
Both. I thought the large capacity may have been the problem, but can read others.
Guest
you have to load a new firmware on Noritsu machines to read memory card bigger than 4Gb.
Colopt
Sounds like none of your card readers are SDHC compatible. Upgrade the readers.
Tony.T
I bought a star tech reader from Maplins for this reason. Quite handy as it also reads most of the little phone cards ;D
andy
Was it a 4GB SD card or a 4GB SDHC card. Standard SD cards are only certifed upto 2GB than thay go to the SDHC sandard 4GB do not compley to the same standards so may or may not work in the camera or card reader.
