avantphotography
Yes it's true, but from Canada. On E-bay kimtech-canada are selling the Doli DL2300 for US $50,000!!! (that's around £25,000)...BUT that's not all the price also includes 5...Yes that's 5 years parts warranty...............................WOW With photomart quoting £43,248.00+VAT for the same machine on their website is the shipping from Canada an option. I suppose the question is IF Doli would honour the 5 year parts warranty worldwide would the shipping costs make this worth considering.....I SHOULD SAY SO I Don't know if the machine is any good though, just thought I might stirr up a bit of a debate! andy69y
I would also like an answer from Photomart, you sold us a mitsy kiosk almost 2 years ago, it never worked ( and still doesn't) i have lost hundreds in trade, had pcs and mitsy engineers out, with no help from yourselves. I actually had our finance company phone you only to be abused.... . The bloody thing doesn't even look like the thing you advertise, i am annoyed that you have ignored me and you should put things right, sort it out and not at mitsys cost, they have picked up the slack on your dehalf!! Sorry Neil but this is the last resort,if promises are made they should be kept........
roger sargent
The Doli DL2300 is a big machine. Not many sites have the need for such large volumes - or the room for one of these. I don't think many of this model have been sold outside of North America. I guess people up there have realised the new smaller machines outdate the older ones and that's the reason they are quitting them. The new Doli's seem to be well priced and backed up. Full marks to PhotoMart for getting some profit back into the business.
Guest
The Doli DL-2300 is End-of-Life. That might explain some dealers across the Atlantic offering it on Ebay at reduced prices. We ourselves, as a distributor, are no longer actively marketing it, so the advertised price will not have been marked down on the website. www.photomart.co.uk is committed to offering quality minilabs in several key classes at market-shifting new price points. We believe the health of the independent sector, and our future revenues, depend on it (and that it's about time!). We feel that some manufacturers, historically, have compensated for an intrinsic lack of margin in their operations by building artificial margin into their prices instead. That's not the way we're going to do things. As an example, check out the new Doli 0810 we're currently launching at FOCUS on Imaging, a compact, capable, economical minilab with digital kiosk terminal for less than £15k. Photographis
I would be interested in hearing Photomart's response to you, Andy69y, as I have been looking at the Dolly's distributed by them--nicely priced, but if they don't back up their customers, I'll go the extra few £k and go with a supplier who can . Guest
I apologise to Andy69y that the resolution of his issue was not to his full satisfaction by the time it was concluded. It is unusual for this to happen. However, our records show that www.photomart.co.uk, Mitsubishi Electric UK, and the finance company, all fulfilled our obligations to this customer, and liaised with each other fully on the matter. The Mitsubishi equipment that www.photomart.co.uk distributes in the U.K. is supported under warranty by Mitsubishi Electric U.K., but we also have our own engineering department, headed by a Dipl. Eng., to provide assessment for this, and to do out-of-warranty interventions. www.photomart.co.uk's Doli minlab installations come with an impressive warranty from Doli, backed up by ourselves. We are a regional sole distributor, chosen as such because of our resources. Our engineers go to China to be trained by Doli. We have our own workshop in London. We stock the most common replacement parts, and can rapidly order less common ones. We send field engineers everywhere from Northern Ireland to Nigeria (our installed base in Lagos is very happy with our support!). I'd like to assure you that www.photomart.co.uk does back up our customers.
andy69y
I thank you for your apology, it is the first i have received!. To clear up the facts on this, the finance company did contact photomart only to get, in their words "an aggressive response and no help". I had to contact mitsubishi directly, and to their credit, an engineer came out and spent the day repairing our kiosk, at no cost to us. The kiosk was not installed, or even wired up correctly!. Also the kiosk is still not working properly. Just to finish, on speaking to another supplier of this equipment DDI Ltd, the comment made to me there was "These people should'nt be selling equipment they don't understand". I wish i had used them instead....... By the way i don't wish to emply anything about Doli, i know very little about them.
avantphotography
Oh dear, I think this one's gone off on a bit of a tangent. Anyway what a S*** response that Photomart are no longer marketing this product. It is on their bloody website!!! For the response from Roger, me thinks that you have not just bought one of these or you'd be spitting feathers.
