marcus
so what's our cunning plan when back printed passports photos are no longer acceptable? i don't want to print them any other way - so we need plain backed paper. where from? Trevor brown
Kodak Ultra Endura is not watermarked i buy mine from Tetenal, Swains don't list it. i sure if we wanted enough then Janice could ensure it being on the Swains List
marcus
..... so i guess 4inch matt would be best. the passport office are OK with matt - i think? i'm thinking that it has the least impact on other work with the same number of pap mags. is it a good price to us? Trevor brown
Its a Gloss finish i have no problems with it, price you would have to check with Tetenal but its not over the top

Photographis
nope, no probs with watermarks. had a crease in my backdrop which I didn't notice at the time. annoying. Over zealous shiny assed beurocrats. Photographics
STEVE
We have given this some thought about the watermarked paper and bingo we have come up with a plan that has now been in place since the start of the year!!! Using our 3001 machine it prints 6 pictures all we do before they are cut is simply place a sheet of white sticky backed paper onto the reverse side. If you dont want to cover the lot the bottom 2 will suffice. Simply cut them out with your cutter and presto the watermarked paper is covered. We just tell the customer to use those two when sending their application off. You cant tell the difference apart from them being slightly thicker than the rest. We have had no problems as yet and the customers do understand but you must tell them what you have done. SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE!!!! Ps the paper is available through Viking etc in various sizes to suit

marcus
is this my 1st successful thread? i'm so proud. good tip Steve. of course so far we're not getting refusals with watermarks - i just wonder if a label is opaque enough for these prats! i can supply 90mm x 120mm labels on a roll. 60 on a roll (12 rolls).
