OK A new year same old problems falling film volumes not enough digital.

To survive we have to look at our business in a different light and to that end I am thinking of stocking camera phones and I was wondering if anyone in the U.K.

as any experience of these ie where to obtain supplies, what sort of support, terms, etc can one expect. Any input on this subject would be of great help

We tried phones with Swains twice, should have learn't the first time. PAYG cheap one go ok for good quality Camera Phones people want contracts, i've not found anybody yet to deal with

I agree with Trevor, we tried it with Swains.

Good quality camera phones too dear on payas you go, cheaper with contract.

And the contracts are where the real money is to be made. Now if a group of, say, 450 or so was to make approaches to a major network............

We have looked into stocking them but to much hassle for the mark up. As has been siad, contract is the way to go.

As Peter says, may be we (as a group) could at some stage look in to things

Why move in to an already oversaturated market? better to work with your local phone dealers to help promote your photo printing service from phones.
