Frontier 7700, Strange Start Up Problem!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Since a couple of days I am having a strange start up problem on our Frontier 7700.

Every morning after Daily Setup and Startup Checks are done and I print a picture, it reaches just before the laser exposure window and stops.

thus jamming the printer. The setup wedge print comes out without problems.

In order to start printing again, I have to shut down the controlling computer (DIC III) which in turn releases the print which has stopped and feeds that into the processor. After this, I do full switch off of the printer, restart again, wait for the temperatures to resume printing.

However, I also have to do a self diagnostic on IF between DICIII computer and the printer and can only print normally thereafter. I am using MS01 v2.1 software and had no previous problem. I have even reinstalled the software from ghost image.

If I do not go through the self diagnostic test and try printing then it again goes just before the exposure window and stops.

Any idea why this is happening? There are no warnings or messages displayed so impossible for me to know where to start looking for this problem to end.

Any feedback will be welcome and highly appreciated.
