Thomas Wormald Posted June 11, 2014 Report Posted June 11, 2014 Morning all, Got a Kodak APEX that is producing a BSOD on bootup. Suspect a dead/corrupted hard drive, although I don't actually have access to the machine at the moment, so I can't confirm that yet. I'm going to attempt to clone the drive, but failing that I imagine I'll need to install XP from scratch on a new drive. Anyone got any hints on how I could reload the APEX software? Will the machine have come with software discs? Thanks in advance, Thomas
pepe21 Posted June 12, 2014 Report Posted June 12, 2014 have you tried booting from windows xp(preferably SP2) cd and repair the OS?
Mihail Badiu Posted July 7, 2014 Report Posted July 7, 2014 PRESS F11 DURING THE BOOT AND IT WILL BRING YOU TO RECOVERY MENU AND CHOOSE THE LATEST DATE FOR RECOVERY. IF NOT YOU WILL NEED THE OPERATING SYSTEM RECOVERY DISK. BUT REMEMER TO CHECK THE BACK OF THE PC TO GET THE MODEL NUMBER EXAMPLE PC23 OR PC 30.
