tnt photo Posted July 23, 2014 Report Posted July 23, 2014 We had lightning strike near us 3 weeks ago & have had various problems with our Noritsu 3001. We have an older 3001 we use for parts. We had no power & power supply was fine so we were told to replace motherboard, which gave us power again. Then we had archnet & LVDS error so switched board on top of motherboard closest to monitor. Errors cleared but then graphics on monitor looked strange like a painting. Noticed Intel ® 82815 graphics controller driver, VGA & LAN (we also couldn't network computer we always print from) drivers missing. We were told to do recovery CD #1 & reinstall H software CD. Did & after H software install stays idle/ stuck on 1st grey screen with QSS_SEQ in top corner & hour glass symbol. Was told it takes 30-40 minutes. waited over a hour & nothing. Then was told to do in this order 1) recovery CD #1 2) Service pack 4 for Win 2000 3) H software that it worked in that order for someone that was stuck on that screen. Didn't work for us. We were then told to bypass after H software install by pressStart> Run : type regedit, then OK. Then choose my computer> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>NORITSUKOKI>QSS-30>A001-005 change value of initialize from 1 to 0 close & save. Turn off & on machine again. Did this & stuck on same screen. Then I was told to do recovery again. Did it & says sucsessful & to restart computer. What is proper way to restart computer after recovery sucsessful on black screen? Hit windows button & nothing, last time I did recovery I couldn't figure out how to restart PC so I turned machine off & back on. Is that correct way? Any help would be greatly appreciated! We've been down a long time! Before I did recovery & H install machine would print fine just missing drivers so graphics looked strange & couldn't network. Now I can't even get past grey QSS screen! Thanks
kodak_service Posted July 23, 2014 Report Posted July 23, 2014 The name of the old and new motherboard is the identical?
tnt photo Posted July 23, 2014 Author Report Posted July 23, 2014 They both are made by RICOH but have "Ricoh" printed in different places. They both have FB5- then white blank rectangle tab with no #'s/letters. They both have E46669-711V 94V-0 on top edge. But one motherboard has white tab labeled R0117100A-290072 & other has tab labeled R011700F-190232
Minilab service Posted July 24, 2014 Report Posted July 24, 2014 After recovery you have remove ARCNET and LVDS boards on device manager. Then install software, restart computer and all should be well. If registry changed ( from 1 to 0 ) system software should starts without upgrade. Then go to service mode, software version check and you have see communication with all boards. If all well there go to software upgrade from HD and run software upgrade for all minilab boards ( if you installed the same software version, which was on minilab when it was working software upgrade for boards is not necessary ) . Then load backup, install profile data, all optional software and can work as you worked before.
kodak_service Posted July 24, 2014 Report Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) Execute following steps: 1. Close QSS application by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL 2. Click My Computer - Properties - Hardware Device Manager - NKC - Arcnet - Properties - Driver - Update driver - Automatically Then choose Arcnet (multi CPU support) and press OK 3. Click My Computer - Properties - Hardware Device Manager - NKC - LVDS - Properties - Driver - Update driver - Automatically Then choose LVDS (multi CPU support) and press OK Edited July 24, 2014 by kodak_service
