2901 Prints Go Yellow Topic #2

Hi I’m now having the same problem as harry with my 2901 with prints going light brown..

 

Turning the machine off fixes the problem till the next day but only a temp. Fix

Is it definitely the board???

 

Harry has not replied if he has managed to fix without board replacement

 

Can anyone help with a replacement boarded (broken drive voltage pcb) and if so what’s the cost $$  ??

 

Any help would be great Thanks guys

More likely to be an AOM easy to check. There are 3 AOMS:http://www.minilabhelp.com/uploads/monthly_07_2014/classifieds-1443-0-89262300-1405697356.jpg

Photo taken from a classified ad on this forum. They are controllers & are all identical so what you do is swap 2 of them around, don't forget to switch OFF & ISOLATE the electricity supply (it's easy to do just un plug the connectors & remove the screws securing them) & see if the problem persists, if not try swapping one with the other one of the 3.

If the problem is an AOM your prints will go another colour, if it's not an AOM the problem will be the same & you have at least ruled out the AOM repair/rla cement & move on to the board, which is a dearer fix!

Try to change Drive Voltage PCB J390638.

Hello. Yes it is drive voltage pcb faulty. Few days ago repaired this board. Before it time after time made light brown prints. After restart ( sometimes few restarts ) printed well. When I repaired this board and put back to minilab it has printing stability and no brown prints after that.

As kodak_service said this minilab has not laser, so has not AOM drivers too.
