Circulation Pump Stopped Stb3 - 5517

Hello,

 

I have the following errors (Noritsu 3202):

 

5517 - The circulation pump has stopped. STB3 

 

I changed the filters, removed the filters to see the 'vortex' and it can be seen.

However in Extension -> Maintenance -> Input check -> Processor -> Processor section I can see Pump Rotation Detector STB3.

 

Any ideas what to check/do ?

Should I remove the pump and clean it ? Should I buy a new pump ?

If you can see the vortex of the liquid inside the tank there is no need to buy new pump at all.
Try to check :

- the condition of the pipes - sometimes it may be clogged by debris of chemicals and circulation is not enough or the Hall detector is getting mad...

- the position of the floating switch in STB subtank.. You can check them also in Maintenance -> Input check -> Processor etc...

- the solution level.. Perhaps you have it on low level so lab stops the pump and  the error generates..

Search for leakage.

Do I need any special adhesive to put back the pipes after trying to clean the pump ?

No... They fixed by the metal clips.

Any idea where to buy a new pump from ? I think the part number is I012130-00.

If this has been an intermittent fault until now check the pump power connector?

 

Remove the plate above the chemistry draw and check for scorching on the left most connector.

We found the increased current draw from the poor connection caused the sensor circuit to report the pump as faulty.

Managed after a few days to clean the pumps, interchange pump stb3 with pump stb2 . I got an error for stb2 afterwards (same pump as before). I did some maintenance -> input check and now everything works. Any ideas ? Its really weird. I plan on buying a spare pump just to save the "future" hassle.

So having swap the pumps you received the same error but on new position.

Such way you have just localized the cause of the error - the pump.

No need to search anywhere else.
I think the internal  electric part (Hall detector or something else) is defective and the pump must be repaired or replaced.

There was a lot of dirt in the pipes also , like very much. Apparently it works now after 7 hour cleaning. Is there any solution used to clean the tanks ?

Update :

 

After cleaning the STB tanks , I get an error for STB-3 again (even though the pump is the one that was on STB-2 in the first place). 

 

Going to Maintenance -> Input checks I see that STB3 Pump Rotation Detector keeps switching from STB3 to OK from time to time. So I can click ok on the error and it goes away and sometimes it keeps reappearing right away.

 

Any ideas what to check further ?

The dirt in the tank/ pipework has blocked up the pump.

If it's really bad you may have to remove the pump and flush out the pipes with a hose and mains water.

I removed the pump and put it back but still the same error. The error appears , I press Ok and then no error for 30 minutes or so. 

If I go to maintenance to see the sensors , sometimes it says "OK" , sometimes STB3 pump. 

 

Also , when the error appears, the temperature from the solutions turns red and it says "Adjusting solutions temperature" (like when starting the machine).

 

Saw something on a forum with the digital flowmeter. Could that be the problem ? Im not even sure that 3202 has a digital flow meter.

In case anyone encounters this problem :

 

Solution : replaced Processor Control PCB, there was an oxidized pin on the P511 slot.
