ISLAND PRINT Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Hi! We have a problem with the strap plan Printing DKS. I enclose a photo. Has anyone had this problem? There 'a remedy? Thank you!
pskaro Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Remove the expo deck, losen the 4 screws on the right plate which is touching the belts and raise it to maximum up position
pskaro Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Or bend that part which is touching the belts with pliers without removing the expo deck
fdoruiz Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 if you have double magazine, do the same both sides of the exposure dek, check nothing its touching the belts, and based on the picture, you need to replace the belts
ISLAND PRINT Posted September 1, 2014 Author Report Posted September 1, 2014 thank you for the advice, how can you do to change the belts?
Studio01 Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 This is normal, I had the same problem after 9 years on my DKS 1510. The rubber is worn, so you'll have to change them. I disassembled all and inspected them searching for some place touching but after cleaning after several days happened again. And the dirt goes to the prints. Studio01
ISLAND PRINT Posted September 1, 2014 Author Report Posted September 1, 2014 Thanks Studio 1. I want to change the belts but I can not find the code in the spare parts.
pskaro Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 Here i the cat No: N060 376 567 Exposure deck belt set It is sold as set off belts and I think it is very expensive from KIS, try to check at some local shop, but ususally you have to provide the lenght and width off belt and teeth number, maybe to cut some outer belt and remove it ? Regarding this plate touching the belts, I recently had situation like that and problem was coming from right plate off the expo deck wich was position in lowest position (there is about 2mm play up/down for that cover plate), but I did not take a photo off that plate.
ISLAND PRINT Posted September 2, 2014 Author Report Posted September 2, 2014 Thanks Pskaro, you are always very helpful with your advice, now let's try ...

panzer Posted September 4, 2014 Report Posted September 4, 2014 060 376 083D is the part number for whole expo deck unit .
pskaro Posted September 4, 2014 Report Posted September 4, 2014 Ohh, sorry, Iwas not reading your post carefully
ISLAND PRINT Posted September 5, 2014 Author Report Posted September 5, 2014 Hi, before buying spare parts we need to understand the cause of the deterioration of the belts. Strange that both the normal consumption are ruined because ONLY outside the 10. Tensors may be some loose?
panzer Posted September 5, 2014 Report Posted September 5, 2014 You need to replace all the belts , not only the ones who look more damaged , otherwise you will not be able to adjust equally the tension for all belts . You can check also the rollers , if they are deep warn or have too much play when spin up .
ISLAND PRINT Posted September 9, 2014 Author Report Posted September 9, 2014 Hi, one questionPutting the new belts will need to change the rollers?
panzer Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 Only if they have deep warn on the belts traces , if not spin up freely , or jogging out of axis . Best way to check that is to normaly assemble the expo deck unit with no belt installed .
